Originally established in Derry in 1994 by founding member John Quinn, ASI Chartered Architects are a Practice legally constituted as a Limited Company of 2 No. Directors and based solely in its Offices at 51 Clarendon Street, Derry City.

John Quinn
Chartered Architect

John is a Chartered Architect both with Royal Institute of Brtish Architects RIBA and also Royal Institiute of Architects of Ireland RIAI, with a background in social housing, , masterplanning and historic buildings having re completed the RSUA Cert in Historic Building Conservation. He is Managing Director of ASI Architects Ltd a Derry based Architectural consultancy for over 25 years.

Over some 25 years, since graduating with a First Class Honors degree in Architecture from Canterbury he has worked for both private and public sector clients across the world including Guest Lecturer at

  • Tver Institute of Architects, Tver Russian Federation
  • Kingston University: London
  • Kent Institute of Art & Design: Kent
  • Foyle Civic Trust

    From this extensive experience he has developed an expertise in a number of inter-related and specialist areas including:

    • Area based regeneration initiatives; - SWG Member City Assets Group
    • Special Needs Housing- ASI Architects are recipients of the Pinders National Healthcare
    • Award for work at The Brook Coleraine Derry an innovative Alzheimer Care Village.
    • Tourism development 
    • Commercial Projects including Hotel, Retail / Shopping Centres, Office Accommodation
    • Community engagement and development;
    • Strategic planning (including city master planning);
    • Heritage and conservation planning and architectural services.

        Simon is a Chartered Architect with Royal Institute of British Architects RIBA and also RIBA Association of Planning Supervisors, with a background in Residential including Special Needs Housing, Community based projects, Tourism & Hospitality & Masterplanning.

        Simon has been a Director of ASI Architects Ltd a Derry based Architectural consultancy for over 25 years.

        Over some 32 years, since graduating with a Honors degree in Architecture he has worked for both private and public sector clients across the world including
